Lecture Recital: J.S. MacBach? Connections between Scottish Traditional Music and Bach's Bourrée Anglaise, BWV 1013.
The Hot Earth Ensemble's final concert is a feast of Baroque virtuosity! Vibrant baroque violinist David Greenberg joins the ensemble for one of Telemann's Paris Quartet, Bach's 4th Brandenburg Concerto, and music of Rameau and Castello. I am looking forward to playing one of the solo flute parts the Brandenburg, along with David and my former student Gillian Shepherd.
Join pianist Kristina Szutor and I for a family-friendly recital! An afternoon start time and shorter program are perfect for listeners of all ages. Program includes Taffanel's Mignon Fantasy, the Dohnányi Aria, Prokofiev Sonata and Greg Pattillo's First Beat (me, beatboxing!) This is a special Music at Memorial event; tickets available at the door (Suncor Energy Hall, School of Music).
